Background: I've been thinking about launching this kind of course/space/group for a long time. Think of it as somewhere between a support group, a writing workshop, and a book club. Especially now in this harsh neocolonial landscape, I feel like people need a space for writing & reading & sharing & asking questions. I've built a life where I focus on crosslanguage artistic / aesthetic / political work, and I want to share what I have learned (and what I am learning) in an on-going way. My idea is to offer this 12-week workshop this spring, and then in subsequent fall and spring semesters. An on-going space, a workshop, a lab. I'm looking for folks who want to be part of a group committed to reading/writing/studying together. It is a 12-week experience: an on-going process of accompaniment, support, motivation, prompts, readings, feedback. I'm asking participants to make a commitment and an investment in the course, and I am committed to guiding you in your writing process and helping you reach your goals.
